of the CI4+ series.
CI4+ is Shimano’s exclusive Carbon Interfused graphite material, which has been used in the bodies, side plates and rotors of these ground-breaking reels. It is 250 per cent stronger than standard CI4 and also 12 per cent lighter.
In real terms, this delivers a reel that is lighter in the hand for long fishing sessions, but it also securely houses the X-Ship bearing-supported pinion gear and oversize drive gear for light handle rotation even under load, six shielded SA-RB bearings, and one roller bearing.
