ANOTHER “Trees for Trout” day is looming on Saturday, September 14, at Nariel Creek, Corryong, Vic. The Australian Trout Foundation are appealing to all conservation minded recreational anglers and clubs to come and help plant trees. The more volunteers the better, because the target is to plant 1,000 trees along the banks of Nariel Creek opposite the Nariel Folk Festival Ground. This will complement the already completed installation of snags and boulder seeding over a 300m stretch of this iconic creek.
All are welcome and families are guaranteed a lot of fun with giveaways for the younger tree planters. Come along and join in the fun with the Corryong Angling Club, Australian Trout Foundation, North East Catchment Authority, other angling clubs, anglers and Landcare.
