Shimano says its Triton Sportfishing rods are versatile, feature extra fast actions and are designed to be lightweight yet powerful – with an affordable price tag.
Each model features a black blank with black and silver bindings, extra-hard EVA grips, gunmetal coloured alloy reel seat and gimbal fittings and heavy-duty guides with extra hard ceramic inserts (AFTCO Roller top on 24kg model).
There are seven models in the range: 4-6kg L, 6-8kg L, 6-8kg, 8-10kg, 10-15kg, 15-24kg and 24kg rollered to cover a variety of bluewater species. Shimano says the 24kg model would make a great match to the Tyrnos II Speed 50LRS, for anglers who want to fish 24kg line for black and striped marlin.
