THE world premiere of the documentary, Blackfish a Fisherman’s Journey, written and produced by John Morrell is on next month.
The premiere screening is on November 7 at the Berridale Hotel in the NSW Snowy Mountains, on the last day of the Snowy Mountains Trout Festival.
Time: 8:30pm and 9:30pm – max number 50/screening, entry FREE.
While a small town pub in the NSW high country might seem an unlikely location for a world première on coastal fishing, the essence of the film is about working class Australians fishing for blackfish and includes links to trout fishing in the Snowy Mountains.
The documentary features, amongst others, Fishing World writer and highly experienced blackfishing exponent John Newbery, historian and fishing pioneer John Brown and award winning actor and fisherman Geoff Morrell.
It was written and produced by Snowy Mountains local John Morrell.
Stay tuned for Fishing World’s review.
