LARGER boats can be a bit tricky to fit out with bow mount electric motors because of the height of their bow from the water or cabin layout.
Transom mount electrics may work as an alternative on some boats but even they can be limited in their application. Minn Kota is aware of these issues and has developed the Engine Mount electric motor for just these types of situations.
The Engine Mount Electric Motor mounts on the cavitation plate of your outboard or I/O lower unit, with no stowing or deploying required. The motor stays out of sight, won’t interfere with your I/O motor, keeps your deck clear, and rides completely out of the water once you’re on plane.
The speed of the Engine Mount electric motor can be controlled with an 18′ corded remote control, which can be mounted or handheld, and offers infinite variable speed control in forward and reverse. The motor can be easily steered using the boat’s steering wheel or outboard tiller.
The Minn Kota Engine Mount Saltwater motor comes in three different models – 55lb, 80lb model and 160lbl.
