Native Watercraft kayaks

THE kayak fishing market is booming as can be seen by the growing number of fishing specific ‘yaks now available in Australia.

Native Watercraft’s Mariner Propel series is a good example of a state of the art fishing ‘yak. The versatile Mariner features a pedal drive system that is capable of going in reverse as well as forward to offer excellent manoeuvrability and control. The makers say the craft’s tunnel hull design makes standing up to fish easy, while an open rear deck provides the ability to take a small passenger or stow gear. The 2011 model also comes with a new look – camo. Available in 10′ and 12.5’ models.

Native Watercraft’s Ultimate 14.5 Tandem is a hybrid kayak canoe design that combines stability and versatility in an easily manoeuverable paddling and fishing vessel. The Ultimate Series has several key features including its stable Tunnel Hull which allows you to stand up for long periods with confidence; ultra comfortable First Class Seating, adjust the back and bottom of the seat for greater support or to relax and recline, and easy to use Adapt-A-Track accessory attachment system.

The Ultimate 14.5 Tandem provides enough comfort and space for two paddlers or fishermen and it can also be easily reconfigured for a single paddler with more gear and then back into a tandem position. Optional rudder available.
