SUZUKI Marine has added two new portable outboards, a DF8 and DF9.9, to its four-stroke range. The DF9.9 portable 9.9 horsepower four-stroke has according to Suzuki Marine been re-engineered to be lighter, smaller and more fuel efficient than its predecessor.
The eight horsepower DF8 features the same physical specifications while representing a new category amongst Suzuki four-strokes.
With a weight of 39.5 kg for the manual start/short shaft models, these new portables are easier to transport and handle. The DF8 and DF9.9 are available with tiller steering and a choice of easy-pull manual or electric starting.
At the heart of the DF8 and DF9.9 is a new inline two-cylinder overhead cam powerhead with 208cc displacement and Digital CDI ignition for smoother idling, acceleration and better fuel economy.
The new DF8 and DF9.9 will be available through authorised Suzuki Marine dealers in Spring of 2009.
