THE Reel Crankie is a device designed to be attached directly to the existing reel handle mechanism on conventional game fishing reels to spool the reel up with line. The device clips on to a variety of different game reels and then locks in place with a simple twist of the gold-knurled ring mechanism. The 15 degree flexible shaft, with universal type joint, extending from the Reel Crankie is then attached to a hand-held 3/8” battery powered drill which when powered will turn the handle and retrieve line.
The small size and portability allows you to re-spool your reel at home or on the boat. The Reel Crankie can also be used to retrieve the bait and drop-weight whilst deep dropping and is especially handy in a rocking boat but is not designed to fight the fish. The tool body is made from aircraft quality 6061 billet (block) aluminium. Internal hardware is made of a durable corrosion-resistant 303 stainless steel for salt and fresh water use.
