Internally, 6+1 stainless steel ball bearings, a worm shaft transmission system and machine-cut brass pinion gears deliver an effortless wind with a gear ratio of 4.5:1. A rigid, forged-aluminium handle and soft EVA knob is an ergonomic feature of this rugged performer.
The multi-disc, Japanese oiled felt drag system generates approximately 9kg of drag pressure, which is reinforced by Okuma’s Hydro Block drag seal to provide protection against sand and saltwater intrusion.
Okuma says the line control design of the aluminium spool allows accurate distance casts, while a heavy duty, anodised bail arm wire adds to the durability and longevity of the reel.
