BASIN Lure and Fly Anglers Inc held Round 5 of the Southern Bream Series (SBS) at Mallacoota over the weekend of June 21 and 22 – the event was proudly sponsored by Shimano.
The weather in the week preceeding the event resulted in hundreds of millimetres of rain making the waterway look like a chocolate milkshake, and competitors who had the opportunity to prefish predicted it was going to be a very tough asignment for teams to get their bag of bream.
Cold conditions and clear skies greeted the 71 boating teams and 20 kayak anglers on the Saturday morning of competition, with the same to follow on the Sunday.
