RAPALA says each rod in its new Maxwell series is built on an ultra crisp blank featuring an X-wrapped lower third to keep butt diameter small and lightweight while retaining an overall fast action.
The cork butt is durable and has a generous butt length which offers increased leverage for casting and fighting fish. The small reel seat doesn’t add unnecessary weight or dampen vibrations, which are key to detecting bites and working lures. A small but effective high-density EVA fore grip tops off the butt configuration and offers great comfort without being unnecessarily bulky.
Stainless steel Fuji guides are placed for optimal casting performance and line management. The Maxwell series also bucks the trend of ‘micro’ guides in favour of larger aperture running guides to help pass all types of leader knots.
The Rapala Maxwell series comprises four two-piece models – from a 6’4″ 1-3kg rod to a 7′ 2-4kg rod – and each comes fitted with a Fuji EZ adjustable hook keeper.
