Last weekend, Victorian breamer Jordan Trusty continued his hot form in the Hobie BREAM Series to lead after day one of the Hobie BREAM Kayak Grand Final (3/3, 2.32kg) at Forster on the NSW Central Coast.
Tasmanian Andrew Krushka held down second place with a 3/3, 2.28kg bag, while Taree local Darren ‘Digit’ Brown was well and truly still in the hunt heading into day three thanks to his 3/3, 2.17kg limit.
The day one Boss Hog was Kevin Winchester’s 1.42kg blue nose, with the Forster monster adding $250 to the angler’s bank account.

Saving his best bream bag for the final day, Daniel Brown added his name to the Hobie BREAM Kayak Grand Final trophy. Saving his best bag to the final day (2.45kg) Brown leap frogged from 3rd to 1st to secure his maiden Hobie win.
Compiling a 6/6, 4.62kg limit for the event Brown achieved a comprehensive win over his nearest rival, Tasmania Andrew Krushka (6/6, 1.94kg), with the 2010 champ securing the 2010 title by 400 grams.
Day one leader Jordan Trusty struggled to find the quality fish from day one, eventually slipping to 3rd place.
