Baitrunner range expands

Shimano’s Baitrunner revolutionised bait fishing when introduced to the tackle market over 20 years ago.

Now, Shimano’s three new Baitrunner ranges offer anglers even more choice for their respective fishing applications whilst utilising the very latest in reel technology.

The ‘ST’ range features two models (2500 and 4000 sizes) constructed from Shimano’s XT-7 material to deliver an amazingly strong and durable body whilst maintaining a low weight.

Each model is equipped with Dyna-Balance, Super Stopper II, Floating Shaft II, Power Roller and Vari-Speed oscillation system for perfect line lay of nylon and braided lines every time.

The ‘DL’ range was designed to take advantage of key Shimano technologies whilst being offered at a price that is right. All models feature the trademark smooth Baitrunner drags that can only be found in Shimano reels. Couple this with lightweight graphite body, aluminium die-cast spool, Power Roller, Super Stopper II and Vari-Speed oscillation system and you have a range that offers unprecedented value for money.

The Baitrunner D is the paramount range of the new Baitrunner collection, boasting the best features of the previous range (B) combined with new Shimano technologies and design to deliver the best Baitrunner yet.

New 8000 and 12000 sizes open up a whole world of new options to anglers such as saltwater casting and bait fishing for a variety of pelagic gamefish offshore, while the 4000 and 6000 sizes cater perfectly for those wishing to float an unweighted pillie or squid bait down a berley trail intended for Snapper.

Each model has a water-proof drag system, Vari-Speed oscillation (Aero on 12000), cold-forged aluminium spool, lightweight yet strong graphite body with metallic black finish, Power Roller III, Super Stopper II, Dyna-Balance and Propulsion Line Management system so that your reel can cope with the increasing popularity of using such reels with braided super lines.
