Manufactured in the US from precision machined aluminium, the new AVET SX 6/4 Raptor features a patented two-speed mechanism that offers a 6:1 high retrieve or a handy switch to 4:1 for low-down grunt. The design allows you to engage or disengage the two-speed mechanism with your hand never leaving the reel handle (index finger to engage, thumb to disengage).
AVET claim this is the smallest and strongest two-speed reel on the market. It includes the new Magnetic Cast Control System – only available from Avet Reels – for prevention of backlash when casting and as an additional line out control for livebaiting. The cast control features a 1 through 5 cast control knob setting for multiple weight casting applications. Ther handle features an over-sized grip for extra cranking power for battling big fish.
The reel’s frame, spool and side plate are all fully machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminium stock for corrosion resistance and durability. Other features include eight stainless steel shielded ball bearings, and an oversized carbon fibre AveDrag water resistant dual drag system.
