Barra bite hots up in Top End

THE barra fishing has hotted up in the Top End the Arnhemland Barramundi Nature Lodge reports today.

According to the Lodge’s latest newsletter, visiting groups have been enjoying quality barra fishing with numbers of over metre sized fish encountered.

One group that includes regular Arnhemland visitor Rob Danby, currently visiting the Lodge for 6 nights/5 days, reportedly caught more than 500 barra in their first two days.
The group also experienced some good bluewater action with Spanish mackerel, trevally and queenfish currently on the chew. Some solid black jewies have also been aggressively biting barra lures.
