THE 2012 Barra Nationals concluded last weekend on the Northern Territory’s Daly River.
Hosted by the Palmerston Game Fishing Club for the 17th consecutive year, the Barra Nationals has once again been hailed a success. This year’s event saw a record of around 60 teams and 180 competitors from all over Australia fishing along 75kms of the famous Daly.
Fishing World’s barra guru, David Green, once again featured prominently in standings at a national barra event, with his team Dead Fishy ultimately taking out Champion Mixed Team after reportedly leading going into the final day.
The event produced a record number of metre-plus barra this year of 25.
