BETS back for 2013

ANGLERS with a love of bream fishing particularly, tournament bream fishing, will be glad to know that the hugely popular Berkley Evinrude Team Series (BETS) returns for 2013.

Starting off where the 2012 Series finished on the glorious Sydney Harbour arena, teams will again fish six qualifying rounds from Forster in the north to St Georges Basin in the south, collecting points along the way in a bid to secure a highly coveted invitation to the BETS Grand Final.

The Grand Final prize again stands at a staggering $20,000 with a huge prize pool along the way. Venues also include old favourites Lake Macquarie and the Hawkesbury River, popular fisheries attracting more than 80 teams with many locals to the waterways seeking to show the hardened tournament pros a thing or two. Practice and preparation are everything so the key is to get your entry in early and get out there. The better prepared you are the more fun you’ll have!

Round One on Sydney Harbour kicks off the Series on December 9, 2012. For all the details, check out www.betsbream.com.au.
