A run of big southern bluefin tuna off the NSW South Coast has been underway in recent days. Here are a couple of pics posted on the Fisho Facebook page over the weekend by some of the anglers who were in the thick of the action.
As in recent years, the official arrival of winter has coincided with runs of SBTs of around the magic 100kg mark, as well as tackle testing fish in the 100kg-plus range. This burst of bluewater action understandably has game fishers and the port of Bermagui abuzz.
As this goes live, the Fishing World Bar Crusher is tuna fishing wide of the Bermagui coast. Stay tuned for a report – if the boys have any success!
