Brother pays tribute to missing fisherman

AS had been reported last week, highly experienced fisherman Peter Oberg and two companions were washed from shore last Wednesday at Seal Rocks during rough seas.

Oberg and the other two men were from Goulburn. They were Oberg’s brother-in-law Damon Thorpe and friend John Keith, who were fishing at Sugarloaf Point at about 12.30pm when they were washed in by a large wave.

Thorpe managed to get back to shore while Keith was rescued from a rock by a jet skier.

Oberg is tragically still missing.
