THERE is only one month to go until April 1, when all commercial net fishing will cease in Corio Bay in western Port Phillip Bay, Victoria.
This will leave more fish for recreational anglers and their families, including snapper, King George whiting, flathead and calamari.
Ending commercial net fishing in Corio Bay is part of a bigger plan by the Victorian State Government to remove all netting from Port Phillip Bay by 2022.
