Fishing World’s May issue – out now

FINDING fish is the name of the game for anglers and the sort of places fish hang out are often very accessible to land-based fishos. The cover story in May Fisho, by talented young writer Luke Reilly, looks at man made structures such as wharves, jetties and piers where surprisingly good fishing can be had.

Speaking of land-based fishing, May Fisho sees former obsessed LBG man Greg Finney revisit his old stamping ground at the Tubes, Jervis Bay where the billfish action was out of control this summer.

Also in May Fishing World you’ll find features on some amazing fishing destinations such as Ballina on the NSW North Coast, Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains and the South Pacific’s Vanuatu where tackle destroying dogtooth tuna rule the roost.

This month David Green has written his guide to Top End run-off fishing which this year has been the best in a long time.

Also in this issue Fisho photographer Shane Chalker comes out from behind the lens to interview lure maker Rob Voorby of RV Lures, Ben Caddaye gets hung up talking about snag fishing, and Greeny gets surprised by lure fishing for whiting.

You’ll also find the usual informative columns, new products, boat tests, info on how to fight big fish, build your own barra stick, and loads more!

Grab your copy of May Fisho now from your newsagent or for iPad via the Apple store.
