AWARD winning Fisho photographer Shane Chalker has done it again.
Chalker recently entered an underwater image of a bream into the 2012 International Loupe Awards photography competition and received a silver award in the sports category.
“To receive this award for a photo of something I truly love shooting, at this level was a real honour,” Chalker told Fisho.
Of the image he says: “The bream was caught on a Sebile Crankster from the beach. I was fishing with my son Curtis we had a few bream on whitebait but I always take my lure rod and on my second cast I caught this beautiful clean bream.
“I thought I had a trevally and was surprised as I washed the fish up. I had the camera in the car and quickly put the fish in a bucket of water while i got my camera set up.
“The water was amazing and after a few shots I gave the fish one last glance before Curtis and watched it swim off to fight another day.
“The photo is one of the best of a bream I have taken and thought it worthy of entering into The International Loupe Awards photography competition and was stoked to receive a silver award for the image in the sports category.”
