LOCAL fishos on Queensland’s Daintree River have reportedly detained two suspected asylum seekers. The two men were part of a missing group from an illegal boat found off the croc-infested North Queensland river.

North Queensland fisho Barry Preston told the ABC what happend when he spotted the suspected asylum seekers while out crabbing.

“We got the blokes to pull in the crab pots for us, we showed them the sights, we had a bit of a banter and showed them a few crocs.”
