FISHING World photographer Shane Chalker has collected three Silver awards at the 2016 Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPAs).
One of the award-winning images was an underwater shot of a tailor with a gold lure in its mouth.
The same fish and sequence was featured as an opening spread for Sami Omari’s tailor article in the July 2016 issue of Fisho, which incidentally featured Shane on the cover holding a snapper.
Shane has worked with the Fisho team over many years to capture dozens of cover shots and other images used in the magazine.
He has won various awards both nationally and internationally for his underwater photography and his shots have been used in various fishing advertising campaigns by Australian tackle companies.
