FUEL cards are being issued to groups undertaking fish stocking and fish habitat rehabilitation programs in NSW. Fish stocking obviously enhances recreational fisheries. Fish habitat rehabilitation helps to improve aquatic communities and species diversity.
Many groups voluntarily travel long distances to undertake fish stocking and fish habitat rehabilitation and do outstanding work in supporting our local fisheries. Fuel card subsidies are being provided by the NSW Recreational Fishing Trusts on a trial basis to assist groups with travel costs, to enhance and provide sustainable fisheries.
