THE Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and NSW DPI are investigating further fish deaths at Mannering Park, in the Lake Macquarie area.
The latest fish deaths follow a fish kill in August that the EPA said was “likely a natural event”.
The bay at Mannering Park has elevated temperatures compared to the rest of Lake Macquarie due to cooling water discharges from Vales Point power station, attracting a range of fish including tropical varieties.
