Georges turns it on for SBS bream round

SUNDAY March 9 saw Round Two of the Basin Lure and Fly Angler Inc Southern Bream Series on the Georges River, proudly sponsored by Shimano.

The event saw 57 boating teams and 27 kayak anglers competing.

The final winner in the Boating section was Team Cronulla Slipway of Grant Grounds and Peter Frankland with an impressive 5/5 bag total of 3.720kg.

Second went to Team Pro Lure Australia with Nathan Leicht and Anthony Kalsow with a 5/5 bag total of 3.420kg.

Third was Team Lureandfly.com with Brad Dolman and Bernard Kong with a 5/5 bag total of 2.960kg. Fourth was Team Busted Off (Scott Chapman and Lindsay Fowler) with a 5/5 bag total of 2.7kg; fifth was Team BCF/Up The Creek (Tom Mclean and Mark Taylor) with a 5/5 bag total of 2.655kg.

In the boating section there were a total of 211 fish caught for a combined weight of 99.555kg for 114 anglers.

The Hobie Big Bream prize was taken out by Brad Dolman with a great 1.370kg fish.

The Kayak section was won by Team Lox Rods – Stewart Dunn with a bag of 3/3 totalling 2.045kg, second went to Team Custom Lure Art – Andrew Death with a bag of 3/3 totalling 1.920kg and third was Team Hobie Fishing/Gladiator – Glenn Ross with a bag of 3/3 totalling 1.815kg.

In the Kayak section there were a total of 46 fish for a combined weight of 22.335kg for 27 anglers.
