THIS giant Spanish mackere was caught from the beach off Fraser Island on Thursday. The angler was Doug Buhagiar and that’s his brother, John holding it for the photo.
The Spaniard measured 190cm and weighed 119lb (54kg) and was caught on a live tailor. It was donated to Fisheries for research, and is reportedly the biggest Spaniard they have on record.
