GONE Fishing Day is this Sunday 9 October! How are you planning on celebrating your love of fishing?

Whether you are taking the family to wet a line, checking out a new spot with mates or going solo for some peace and quiet, Gone Fishing Day is for everyone!

No plans? Why not come along to one of NSW DPI’s six free events this (9 Oct), at the below locations*.

Lake Macquarie/Central Coast, Summerland Point – Summerland Point Reserve (10:30am-2pm in partnership with the Summerland Sporties fishing club)
Batemans Bay – Corrigans Beach Reserve Park (9am-1pm)

Sydney, Kyeemagh – Cook Park (9am -1pm)

Cowra – Bill Robinson Park (9am-1pm)

Narrabri – Crossing Theatre Park (9am-1pm)

Ballina – Fawcett Park  (9am-3pm in partnership with the Taste of Seafood event)

There will be something for everyone, including beginners, who want to learn about fishing, as well as activities for the keen angler!

Gone Fishing Day is run in collaboration with the Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation, with activities on Gone Fishing Day in NSW supported by the Recreational Fishing Trusts.
