THE inaugural Multicap Horizon Shores Marine Festival will take place on Saturday 18 May.
The event is focused on raising funds for the Multicap charity and engaging the community in recreational activities on the water.
The headline event will be a Fishing Competition within the marina basin including land based and water based fishing. As fishing is not normally permitted in the marina, a special exception has been made for this event. Prizes will be on offer and is certain to attract anglers from all regions.
There will be plenty of entertainment for the family including:
- Fishing competitions
- Jumping castle and face painting for kids
- Dinghy races
- Boat handling demonstrations
- Boat boot sale
- VMR Marine Rescue display
- Marine education by Educat
- Food & Beverage by Harrigan’s Tavern
- Multicap auction draw
- Live music
Another major attraction on the day will be a boat boot sale whereby boat owners can display their boat or boating items for sale. So if you’re in the market for a boat, this is the perfect opportunity to inspect many boats in one location.

Horizon Shores Marina is centrally located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast with the prime boating destinations at our doorstep.
