LIMITED to one production of just 250 rods per model, Daiwa Australia is proud to release the limited edition of the Saltiga Dogfight rods. Designed and tested in Australia these hand made rods represent Daiwa’s latest rod technology and the future of its heavy-duty rod development.
The introduction of the ultimate heavy duty reel, the Saltiga Dogfight 7000H in 2012 set new possibilities for targeting even bigger fish on spinning gear. Designed to match the awesome power of the new 7000H the new rods use the Daiwa’s best design concept, 3D carbon design.
These rods combine Daiwa’s famous Bias Wrap Construction for ultimate strength, power, light weightiness and ultra slim blank diameter with the X45 design to eliminate blank twist and massively increase torque. The internal section of the blank uses HVF “High Volume Fiber” carbon with X45 construction to create a powerful core tubular blank. To increase the power even more for high lifting technique Daiwa says the outer part of the blank is then wrapped unidirectional fibre creating extra high strength, high reliability and torque, yet the blank is incredibly light and has high lift power and torque.
The Dogfight rods feature Daiwa’s specially designed heavy duty reel seat, featuring a high strength CRT carbon body aluminum, Fuji hood with a CRT carbon/ aluminum nut with a locking ring and Fuji’s silicone carbide guides and ultra tough EVA grips.
Available in 55XS model – the ultimate extreme heavy-duty jigging rod – and 85XS, which Daiwa calls the perfect slider/popper rod. Available in July 2013 from Daiwa Tournament dealers.
