It’s a croc eat croc world…

IN the Northern Territory it’s survival of the fittest for the inhabitants of remote waterways where big saltwater crocodiles rule the roost.

While it’s not uncommon for anglers to lose prized sportfish such as barra to a croc or see one on a river bank chomping on a wild pig or steer, the sight of a croc eating one of its own kind is probably not as common.

The pics here were sent to Fisho by Melville Island based fishing guide Warren “Wazza” Smith. According to Wazza, he saw the big croc on the bank of Melville’s Snake Bay and he estimated it to be “around 5m and was eating the remains of another croc that would have been 3m+.”

“Was one big fat mother.”

You’re not wrong there Waz!
