WELL known Halco guru, David “Hodgie” Hodge is no stranger to big fish. He has caught a stack of big barra in his time.
Yesterday he established a new personal best for barra with an awesome 134 cm barra on the Madeye 7 inch Paddle Prawn.
Fishing solo from a river bank in North Qld, Hodgie tamed the beast on 15 lb braid and only 20 lb leader – an outstanding capture in anyone’s book. He then released the big girl in great condition.
