THE Recreational Fishing Alliance of NSW will be promoting its fishing safety campaigns at the Carnival of Cultures at Sydney’s Ashfield Park this Sunday.
At the event the ANSA NSW Angel Ring Safety Trailer will be in attendance in the hope of better educating recreational anglers who fish the rocks and make them more experienced in reading the conditions and keeping themselves safe.
The usual tireless workers from the RFA, they will be joined by Alex Bellissimo, Sydney’s rockfishing guru, members of Iso Fishing Lifestyle, with Gabriel Kim (who has featured in Fishing World) helping out and showcasing the new and innovative tackle hitting the rocks these days, including flotation vests. Also attending will be Jasmina Pedic who lost her father whilst rockfishing in 2006 and is keen to get the safe fishing message out from a personal level.
Last year Jasmina completed a 36 hour charity run to raise funds to help lift awareness about rockfishing safety in Victoria and has asked to be involved in getting the rockfishing safety message out in NSW along with the RFA.
So drop in and say hello, chat to the experts about fishing safety and see what new tackle is making its way onto the rocks and don’t forget to ask for a free bum bag lifejacket whilst stocks last!
