Report: November sees another great run of juvenile black marlin

NOVEMBER has been and gone in a flash and this year we saw another fantastic run of small black marlin in Hervey Bay.

Our guests enjoyed targeting these great fish, with many caught on the flats in shallow water. It has been an absolute pleasure to guide my guests onto their first black marlin and to do it in my native waters makes it special for guide and angler.

Other species also fished well with big golden trevally, mack and longtail tuna, spotted mackerel and others in the mix using both spin and fly tackle. We also did plenty of mother shipping through November with groups making the most of sunny November conditions and lapping up the great food and hospitality of Freedom III.

We had a great response to our Ifish episode that went to Air last week, it came up great with plenty of action. If you missed it check it out on Ten Play

If you are interested in Mother Shipping the 2016 season for Black Marlin or you wish to book for our standard day trips in Summer/ Autumn 2016 season for longtail tuna and other pelagics please be in touch ASAP to secure your dates.
