AN enticing line up of Australia’s premier outdoor, 4×4 and fishing experts will make special guest appearances at this year’s National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo, to be held at the Melbourne Showgrounds this weekend, August 17 to 19, 2018.
Once again showcasing all things 4×4, camping, fishing and boating, the event is set to break new ground this year with its roll call of special guests ready to share their experiences and knowledge with show patrons.
“Without singling out any one individual, we are delighted to confirm that national identities like Pat Callinan, Steve Starling, John ‘Roothy’ Rooth and Paul Worsteling will all be attending the show, making it one of the strongest special guest lists yet,” Event Director Paul Mathers said.
“Such expertise is invaluable and will add enormously to the experience of our show visitors, and what they get out of their visit with us – in that way our show is unique in that it has always enjoyed the support of so many prominent industry identities.”
The Waeco CFX Outback Stage will host a number of prominent guests across the three days of the show, all sharing their stories, hard-won tips and advice, and answering questions from show patrons.
4×4 Adventures host Pat Callinan will be among the most recognisable of the presenters on the Waeco CFX Outback stage, which will also see appearances by industry legend John ‘Roothy’ Rooth, the Offroad Adventure Show’s Rick O’Brien and Jamie Hazelden, and Australian 4WD Action’s Shaun Whale and Graham Cahill.
Other guests on the Waeco CFX Outback Stage at this year’s event will be long-time show favourite, All 4 Adventure’s host Jase Andrews and photojournalist Scott Mason from Pat Callinan’s 4×4 Adventures.
“All of these guests share a passion and commitment to the Australian outback and the outdoors lifestyle, and an enthusiasm to impart this to the novice and experienced alike,” continued Mathers.
On the Catch & Cook stage, fishing guru Steve ‘Starlo’ Starling will impart some tall tales and talk about all things rod and reel, as will the equally well credentialled Paul Worsteling from iFish TV.
Colourful cooking expert and former AFL footballer Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt and wife Sheree of the Great Australian Doorstep, will return to the National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing & Boating Expo again this year, with some mouth-watering and easy to make recipes, ideal to keep adventurers nourished in the great outdoors.
Newcomer Alicia Blythe from the Offroad Adventure Show and Australian Fishing Network’s Bill Classon will also be guests on the Catch & Cook stage.
Providing an informative take on the administration of the fishing industry will be CEO Travis Dowling and senior scientist Corey Green from the Victorian Fisheries Authority, who will impart their knowledge on the state of recreational and commercial fishing.
“Our event will certainly showcase the very best product available to 4×4, camping and fishing enthusiasts, but it’s the opportunity to meet these highly-credentialed experts that will add so much to the show experience,” Paul Mathers said.
“I have no doubt this will be the best event ever.”
