THE new Squidgy Pro Mongrel and Pro Ridgeback soft plastics are “pimped up” versions of the popular Squidgy Slick Rig. The Squidgies team say that the new designs are the result of wanting a more realistic lure with a subtle body roll, with added benefits.
The end result was the Mongrel, a paddle tail version and the Ridgeback – the curly tail version. Both models come in 115mm and 90mm models in four colours.
The design team say the production process was long and thorough and the testing in the wild was just as critical, but a little more fun! Both lures have reportedly caught loads of fish and with more thickness in the nose for weedless rigging and extra holes for stinger rigs, they have proven to be extremely versatile. So from metre sized barra to flathead and jewfish, the Mongrels and the Ridgeback will have you covered.
The Squidgy Pro Mongrel & Pro Ridgeback can be used with a standard hook and weight insert (or another jig head) fitted internally or Texan rigged on a wide gaped worm hook. Apply Squidgies deadly S-Factor Attack Trigger and you’re ready to go!
