THE National 4×4 Outdoors Show, Fishing and Boating Expo will be treated to an exclusive line-up of special guests and industry experts when it returns to the Melbourne Showgrounds on August 18 to 20, 2017.
As Australia’s longest running and largest 4×4 outdoors show, the event is a great choice for fans of the great outdoors, including fishing, boating, 4×4, camping and caravanning.
Some big names are on the line-up for the three-day event, providing entertainment for all ages. This includes world-famous cricket star Merv Hughes, expert angler Paul Worsteling, 4WDing legend John ‘Roothy’ Rooth, and ex-AFL star-turned campfire cooking pro Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt, in their one and only Melbourne appearance for 2017.
The Show will have over 30,000 square metres featuring everything outdoor-related, with the stars of the Show appearing alongside renowned industry-leading exhibitors showcasing the latest products in caravanning, camping, fishing, 4WDing and boating.
For those wanting to learn the best tips and tricks from industry experts, or secrets to perfecting their 4WDing, fishing or camping skills, the Show will definitely be of interest.
With interactive displays, hours of on-stage entertainment and talks, and the opportunity to meet and greet industry celebrities and special guests, Show visitors will walk away from the event with a wealth of new information – and maybe even an autograph or two!
The Show is excited to welcome Aussie cricketing legend and renowned fisherman, Merv Hughes, for a second time, with his hilarious “Merv’s Outdoor Adventures” presentation on twice daily across the weekend.
On the Tackle World Fishing Stage, guests will find Paul Worsteling from iFish, with his unmistakable passion and enthusiasm for recreational fishing. Regardless of whether you’re a novice or an old hand at fishing, Paul will provide plenty of great information in his “Fishing Yarns”, “Tales From Around the Globe” and “Mighty Swordfish” presentations.
Together with Paul, the Fishing Stage will host Steve ‘Starlo’ Starling with his “Talking Fishing” segment, Bill Classon from Channel 7’s The Fishing Show, Steve ‘Trelly’ Threllful talking Big Murray cod, and Transport Safety Victoria with boating safety advice.
Peter ‘Spida’ Everitt and his wife Sheree will host the Campfire Cooking Stage. Appearing on the hit TV Show, The Great Australian Doorstep, Spida and Sheree have a love for the great outdoors, and can cook up a tasty campfire meal, so guests should ensure they schedule time to sample the dishes they will be cooking at the Show.
Alongside Spida and Sheree will be the Offroad Adventure Show’s culinary whiz, Ben Milbourne. Ben will demonstrate how to whip up a campfire meal that will satisfy the entire family.
Always popular with the off-road crowd at the National 4×4 Outdoors, Show Fishing and Boating Expo, John ‘Roothy’ Rooth, will provide plenty of entertainment for young and old with his “Roothless Tales”.
Also returning to Melbourne again this year will be Jase Andrews from All 4 Adventure, Shaun and Graham from 4WD Action, and Rick O’Brien from The Offroad Adventure Show.
