2 When did you first start fishing?
I guess from the moment I could hold a rod and reel, I do remember that my Father gave me an old Shakespeare E Sigma reel instead of a rattle to play with when I was very young.
3 When did you start writing for Fisho?
Ed would know the exact year, I do have the old Fisho mag stored in the archives somewhere. Story short, I was a keen young fisho in Year 11 at High School with an SLR shooting on 35mm slide film. Writing extensive essays for my HSC made article writing about my passion second nature.

4 What’s your favourite form of fishing?
Hah, million dollar question. I change my fishing like my underwear. I’m always hunting and searching for the next bite. To name a few, topwater river bassin’, jewfish and snapper on soft plastics and chasing hoodlum kings would round out the top 3. In saying that, if it has fins and pulls drag I’ll chase it.
5 What do you enjoy about writing for a fishing magazine?
Essentially it is an ability to have a voice in the fishing community to share my knowledge, help or possibly inspire people to achieve their own fishing goals.
6 Who do you most admire in the fishing media and why?
It is hard to say, media identities who I used to admire are now either personal friends or even work colleagues, so it is more of a respect than admiration these days. To be honest it would be a long list and if I tried to mention all of them I’d surely forget someone.

7 What do you reckon is the best or most satisfying article you’ve written for Fisho?
Cracking my first publication all those years back and seeing it in print was a satisfying moment, I’d worked hard and tried many times before it became a reality.

9 What advice can you give anyone wanting to get into the fishing media?
Work hard, believe in your passion, and do it for the right reasons.
10 What’s your favourite fishing destination?
Coffs Harbour in New South Wales. While not exotic, I have some great friends there and there is some great fishing to be had at Coffs.
