BACK in April we featured an unusually marked saratoga caught at Goose Creek on Melville Island in the NT (see pic right) – read story HERE.
This week Fisho received another interesting ‘toga image from Melville Island Lodge guide Warren “Wazza” Smith. As you can see in the accompanying photo the Goose Creek caught fish has most of its gill plate missing on the right side and there is visible damage to the gills.
According to Wazza though, the ‘toga was “as fit and full of fight as any of the other ‘togas caught that day. Just goes to show how resilient some fish are.”
Here’s hoping the tough little ‘toga continues to fight on.
