THE crew from fishing show River Monsters with Jeremy Wade have rescued a stranded fisherman in the Northern Territory while filming the latest series of the show according to a report in British newspaper the Independent.
The crew had been researching Queensland Groper in the remote Pellew Islands group, when they saw an Esky on the shore of a deserted island. Thinking it strange they motored in for a closer look when the man appeared running towards them screaming for water.
The fisho, named only as Tremine, from Borroloola, had been seperated from his boat for 60 hours, had run out of water and thought he was going to die. Tremine was later treated for dehydration but was otherwise fine.
The River Monsters crew said they had been due to film in another location but decided to switch locations due to choppy water.
