DEFINITELY no ordinary pair of polarised sunglasses, the Cyclops range from Quiver HD feature an inbuilt HD video camera with integrated memory, battery and a handy mini-USB output.
The centre mounted camera records in HD 720p in a 16:9 frame and AVI format. Black polarised lenses to AS/NZS 1067 UV 400 and a 4GB capacity (approx 1- 1.5 hours of storage time) come standard – 8, 16 and 32GB versions coming soon.
The makers say the battery lasts 70 minutes while recording and is charged via USB to your computer (Mac or PC). It’s simple to use, press the button on the frame (to the left of your face) to start recording. Press this same button again to stop recording. A green LED will flash inside the frame when recording if you need to check. The Cyclops records both video and audio. Order online.
