Waterways in focus: Fishing World raises awareness with July edition cover image

ONLY last August Fishing World celebrated its 50th anniversary. After putting together our special collector’s edition – one thing stood out – our eclectic mix of cover photos.


These days we’re more conservative with a proven cover formula which appeals to the majority of our readers. This month however, is very different…

Fishing World is proud to support a major campaign with OzFish Unlimited. The campaign hopes to raise awareness about fish habitat restoration with the wider rec fishing community.

As OzFish CEO Craig Copeland says: “It’s time to disrupt traditional thinking and turn attention to improving waterways instead of just the fish that we can catch from them.”

As a result, this month’s cover image may have a few readers scratching their heads… Keeping in theme with the OzFish campaign, our cover has been flipped, literally focusing on the waterway, not the fish!

The unique cover is backed up with a special feature from OzFish, plus a full magazine full of our usual columns, news, products, various features and more.
