Incorporating high-end technology, the TD Sol II is an evolutionary version of what Daiwa claims is “Australia’s most popular spinning reel ever”, the TD Sol. There are four models in the series, ranging in size from 2004 to 4000, each designed and built to withstand the harsh saltwater environment. The reel’s saltwater-tough tag is the result of an innovation Daiwa calls ‘Mag Seal’. A membrane of magnetised oil attaches itself to metal surfaces in the reel to form a friction-free seal that prevents water intrusion, eliminates oil spray and extends the life of the reel. Tough and lightweight, the TD Sol II is ready to battle a range of estuary and inshore species.
