Overview
The Shimano Saragosa SW is a heavy duty spin reel designed for battling tough inshore and offshore predators. Available in six sizes, from 5000 to 25000, the reel series was recently upgraded with many components that are also found in Shimano’s flagship Stella series. Shimano claims the Saragosa SW delivers “remarkable cranking power with less effort and a smoother feel”, while X-Shield and X-Protect keep saltwater out of key areas. The Cross Carbon drag, which is capable of being cranked up to 20kg (depending on the model), is also waterproof.
