Bar Crusher’s new releases

LAST weekend’s Melbourne Boat Show was another big one for Aussie fishing boat brand Bar Crusher.

Of particular interest to lure casters/trollers, among the new releases were a redesigned XS series of centre console boats, and Bar Crusher’s brand new XT series of hard top centre console boats. Introduced at the show as the 670XT, it will also be available as a 730XT and 780XT.

These large, ocean-going XT models should really take the imported US T-topper boats to task, with design features specifically targeted at Australian anglers.

Following the success of the all-rounder 615BR, introduced at the Melbourne Boat Show in 2017, Bar Crusher also launched a new 670BR. Pulling triple duty as the ultimate fishing boat, family boat and sports boats, the market demanded a bigger version of the very capable Bar Crusher bowrider – now it’s here.

Generating a massive amount of interest at the show was the significantly-upgraded folding hard top of Bar Crusher’s ever-popular C series of cuddy cabin boats. The new roof of the C series moves away from the basic gas-strut folding hard top (which Bar Crusher boats have had for 20 years), to something more substantial; yet it retains the ability to fold down and reduce on-trailer height by up to a metre for easy storage in garages/carports.
