Revised Australian Boating Manual released

The “go-to” boating reference publication, the Australian Boating Manual, has just been revised in a bid to keep pace with changes in maritime training requirements. Now in its fourth edition, Capt. Dick Gandy’s boating “bible” is a virtual must have for commercial and recreational boaties alike.

At 986 pages the fourth edition is up 116 pages on its previous volume and twice the size of the first edition. The Australian Boating Manual is described by the author as “the product of research into what boaties need to and want to know”.

As well as an authoritative practical reference manual for all things boating including: boat design, maintenance, navigation, first aid and a whole lot more the ABM is also contains a self-test multiple choice Q & A section for boat owners to test their knowledge.

The Australain Boating Manual Fourth Edition is available at bookshops, chandleries or via its publisher Ocean Publications (02) 9996 0725 for $89.95.
