Sailfish releases Canyon Master Cat

THE latest offering from Sailfish Catamarans is a boat dedicated to bluewater anglers.

With a length overall of 7.30m and beam of 2.45m this is a decent sized cat. Customers are offered a choice of dual Honda 90 hp outboards or bigger Honda 115 hp engines. Dual 175 litre fuel tanks ensure this cat has the legs to head a long way offshore and troll all day long.

According to Gavan Daly at Webbe Marine, the Canyon Master has been developed in direct response to customer feedback.

“We believed that the cat fishing market was after a hull with a smaller cabin and larger cockpit,” Gavan Daly said.

“What we discovered when we made the adjustment was that they actually still wanted a cabin that could provide enough space for an afternoon nap. The Canyon Master has a cabin big enough to sleep 2 and a cockpit that is actually 2.2m square.”

“This is a boat which delivers both on the cabin area and the cockpit space, yet is contained within the 7.3m length and modest power on the transom. All round this rig is a winner.”

Sailfish has developed a new hull shape for the Canyon Master, the Hydroflow Gen 2 hull. The builder says the entry of the sponsons has been enhanced to deliver easier planing without compromising a soft entry when operating in rough water.

The Sailfish Canyon Master is available in either a hardtop or soft-top configuration. Other features include a windscreen wiper, electric anchor winch, Garmin colour touchscreen combo, kill tank, live bait tank, deckwash, lockable forward cabin, non skid flooring, LED lighting, Fusion stereo, VHF radio and an optional toilet.
