Tohatsu launches lightweight fourstroke

IN recent years Tohatsu has developed many new fourstroke products. This year is no exception with a lightweight fuel-injected MFS15/MFS20E FI launched at the Sydney International Boat Show.

This new model starts at 43kg for the manual start tiller short shaft version, however, on top of this, users will also appreciate the “axis of gravity” design which makes the unit feel  lighter when manual tilting on transom.

These models also feature battery-less fuel injection technology for easy starting, smooth running and fuel efficiency. The environment has not been forgotten with ultra-low emissions and innovative sound reduction technology throughout.

Tohatsu have also added some simple but user-friendly attributes such as a large carry handle, multi-function tiller with forward gear shift (where applicable), an inbuilt water separating fuel filter, and an easy service flushing system.  A number of model options will be available including electric start and power tilt with transom lengths of short, long and ultra long (with optional kit).

Tohatsu continue to be acive in fourstroke production and engineering, with its factory in Japan working on some exciting new products for 2018/19. For more information contact your local Tohatsu dealer or go to www.tohatsu.co.au
