WITH time running out for final public consultation into the federal Government’s proposed marine parks network, rec fishing advocacy group Keep Australia Fishing (KAF) has been running an online petition campaign aimed at stopping the lock-outs.
KAF was angered by the Gillard Government’s recent push to speed up the public consultation process around these controversial marine parks, which are set to make 1.3 million square kilometres of ocean off limits to anglers – see related story HERE.
With just over 20 days remaining for fishos to voice disapproval at these marine park lock-outs now is the time to take action!
Australia’s fishos are strongly urged to sign the petition to Environment Minister Tony Burke HERE before time runs out.
